Our Staffordshire based clients are keen to recruit an experienced Maintenance Engineer to compliment their existing team. You will have an electrical and/or Mechanical bias. Must have experience with injection moulding, Robotics and PLC's. Working hours are 10-6, 6-2, 2-10 (3 shift system) with a 21% shift allowance per annum.


Maximise production uptime. Plan time & resource to carry out TPM activities as per schedules.
Oversee all planned sub-contract services carried out on plant & equipment.
Ensure all paperwork completed on time & 100% up to date at each month end.
Able to fault find mechanical and electrical problems on all equipment.
Maintain cost centres to within agreed budgets.
Main functions / Assigned tasks

Prioritise the maintenance activities whether breakdowns or corrective. Direct & support resources to respond to breakdowns effectively.
Carry out corrective and preventative maintenance tasks. Carry out tasks as identified on maintenance / improvement request.
Ensure all maintenance activities are recorded accurately. Attend daily production meeting & feedback daily requirements.
Ensure all plant & equipment that is planned for TPM is made available, where practical. Update annual maintenance plan.
Maintain spare parts stores & ensure all expenditure is recorded & within agreed budgets. Ensure all work carried out on machine or equipment is recorded on standard report format and oversee comprehensive shift handover of information.
Maintain library of manuals and drawings. Identify whether specialist help is required to support a task & liase with external suppliers to complete these tasks as required.


Take direction from Maintenance Group Leader, Order replacement/ spare parts as required.
Respond immediately to concerns raised by work team members.Escalate serious concerns on plant breakdowns to the Maintenance Group Leader immediately.Support Process Technician's needs.Respect company systems and procedures.Respect customer quality standards.
Health & safety awareness and following health & safety procedure/policies.Required competences (Knowledge, expertise). Flexible to the business requirements.Motivate the team members. Work on equipment to fault find and correct problem and call out specialist/contractor help when required.

Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic & Pneumatic
Plastic Injection Moulding Tooling maintenance, cleaning & insert changes (250 to 1750Tonne)
Required professional experience
Experience of PLC fault finding & programming.
Multi-skilled electrical and mechanical.
Qualification in electrical or mechanical discipline.
Overhead Crane licence
17th edition regulations.
Other requirements
Experience with production environment within the automotive industry.
Experience with injection moulding machines.
Experience of working in teams.
