The Role: The new Sales Engineer will be responsible for selling into the end users space, dealing with sectors such as aerospace, defence, automotive and academia. This role is a good split between account management and business development and will see you talking to laboratory managers, PhD scientists and technicians, engineers and professors, negotiating sales deals ranging from £50k to £150k. A full company induction and product training course awaits the new sales engineer here along with good progression through the company.

The Company: With nearly a century of innovation behind them, our client is a well-reputed manufacturer now expanding their sales team. They enjoy a sales turnover in excess of €100 million and now seek a new Sales Engineer in the North of England to sell their range of instrumentation for indentation and scratch testing, tribometers and atomic force microscopes.

For this Sales Engineer position, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
  • Strong field sales skills
  • You will ideally have sold capital equipment into the aerospace, defence or industrial process industry
  • It is likely that you have a degree in materials science, engineering or physics
  • Driven sales people who can operate autonomously are sought
