An exciting opportunity to join a long established contract manufacturing business located in Doncaster. The company is part of a larger multinational organisation but retains its entire original family feel working atmosphere. We are looking for an Electrical Support Engineer to join the team.


The main duties and responsibilities for the Electrical Support Engineer are to utilise core electrical knowledge to support the Sales Manager and Factory Manager. This includes but is not limited to:

*To support both the Factory Manager & Sales Manager with pre & post sales technical support
*Interpreting, reading or generating customer designs and specifications into products by generating production process documentation.
*Review and research the requirements of technical project details, in order to select appropriate materials to be used in the components production and assembly.
*Ability to take a common sense approach in respect of selecting manufacturing tooling appropriate to batch requirements and ensuring their compliance with UK Standards.
*Interpreting customer requirements and generating schematic drawings & wiring diagrams to aid the production process.
*To liaise and assist with customer queries both before and after the sample acceptance process, ensuring there are no ambiguities within the specification requirements.
*Occasional travel to customer / supplier sites in the UK
*To ensure that the company's technical and safety standards are maintained in accordance with Health & Safety Practices as outlined in the Company Health and Safety procedures and to make recommendations for improvements as necessary.
*To perform other related duties as assigned or requested.


To be considered for the position of Electrical Support Engineer, applicants must be able to demonstrate knowledge or experience with:

*Electrical circuitry - Preferably within cable management systems.
*CAD Design - applicants do not need to be experts with CAD design softwares but should be comfortable to create designs and read drawings for production.
*Project Management - The electrical support engineer will be involved in a wide aspect of the production from design, research, costing and quotation through to manufacturing process and delivery.
*Good customer service skills - Ability to articulate technical detail in an understandable manner.
*Electrical qualifications - Applicants should have at least city and guilds standards or strong working knowledge with electrical engineering. HNC/HND would be desirable but not essential.
*Cable Management - previous experience with working on cable management systems
