A Financial Accountant is required to join a large and fast growing business based in Warrington. You will have responsibility for areas of the balance sheet ensuring that accuracy and integrity is maintained whilst supporting other members of the team when required.



Your role will cover the following;



  1. Fixed Assets

    Process, monitor and control the system.

    Monitor and control the capital expenditure purchase orders.

    Processing and coding of capital expenditure invoices.

    Reconciliation of the fixed asset registers to the balance sheet for various companies.

    Production of the monthly capital expenditure reports.

    Complete external statutory fixed assets reporting requirements.




  2. Debtors

    Reconciliation of control account to sales ledger.

    Review unallocated cash ensuring ledger is well maintained.

    Review sales tickets to ensure that invoices are being raised in a timely manner.

    Review credit balances to ensure correctly reported.




  3. Creditors

    Reconciliation of control account to purchase ledger.

    Review debit balances to ensure invoices are processed in a timely manner.

    Review purchase tickets for ageing.




  4. Bank and Cash


Reconcile all bank accounts back to the statements ensuring that postings are made in a timely manner.

Foreign currency account revaluations.

Process and reconciliation of the cheque en-cashing control account, and handle all related queries.



  1. Intercompany

    Produce intercompany reconciliations and revaluations for foreign territories, liaising with staff overseas, intercompany cash postings, agreeing balances and resolving queries.




  2. Day to day transactions

    Ensure the smooth running of day to day transactions, liaising with depots, uploading bank files, daily payment run checks, cash postings.




  3. Preparation of month end reports and balance sheet reconciliations.




  4. Preparation of analysis of costs for corporation tax computation.




  5. Ad-hoc financial accounting tasks as instructed.
