My medical device client based in Littlehampton is seeking a Technical Engineer. The position will involve working alongside the Technical Director, quality team and production staff in order to implement new products, adjust and amend existing products and trouble shoot production problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Working directly for the Technical manager.

  • Writing production assembly notes, Basic cad drawing, sourcing parts and materials from existing and new suppliers, producing prototype devices, Producing technical files, and test reports.

  • Working with new and existing customers to implement new devices and providing regulatory support

  • Working with the manufacturing team to document updates to current products.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Degree in Biomedical engineering or industry experience at a medical device manufacturer.

  • Working knowledge of 93/42/EEC for new medical device submissions is beneficial

  • Experience interrogating and studying 2d and 3d drawings.

  • Experience writing assembly and production documentation is a plus

Person Specification:

  • The successful candidate will have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office.

  • All applicants must be comfortable speaking to customers directly on the phone and in face to face meetings.

Training:

  • Full training of the company’s internal systems and programs whilst working alongside the technical manager.

  • Basic assembly training in each of the production areas

Holidays and breaks:

  • Working hours are 8am – 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 1:30pm on a Friday.

  • All bank holidays are paid leave.

  • 25 days paid holiday per year, typically 3-4 days saved for Christmas shutdown.
