Part-time Payroller position in Central Bristol
Your new company
You will be working for a medium sized, national legal firm in their Bristol office. The Payroll will be being outsourced in approx 12 months time and you will be a crucial part of choosing the outsourcing provider and developing the system out.
Your new role
You will be inputting data relating to staff payments into the payroll database on a regular basis, ensuring that staff are paid on time and receive the correct payments. You will also ensure that correct payments, reports and returns are made to HMRC, the firm's pension providers and other statutory bodies. You will carry out month and year end processes essential for statutory and other returns, ensure the firm's Childcare Voucher Scheme is operated efficiently and deal with enquiries from staff and external contacts and agencies, either in person, by telephone or in writing.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a proven track record in Payroll (ideally in a medium sized organisation), including the use of a computerised payroll system (Sage 50). You will also have a detailed knowledge of payroll systems, taxation/National Insurance rules and pension scheme administration and a good understanding of accounting principles and their payroll application. You will have the ability to summarise and interpret complex information using oral and written methods to meet needs of diverse audience.
What you'll get in return
You will be offered a 12 month FTC and a competitive salary of £24,000-£28,000
