Salary: Up to £40,000 + Car + Laptop + Mobile

Our client is a service-led, niche pharmaceutical manufacturer, developer and supplier to the retail pharmacy, pharmaceutical wholesale, hospital, homecare and care home markets. They operate six business units offering a portfolio of innovative and complementary products and services to providers in primary and secondary care.

Part of the Group, manufactures and supplies specials and special obtains for the majority of large retail pharmacy chains in the UK, as well as large pharmaceutical wholesalers, hospitals and independent pharmacies.

They now have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join their Dermacool team where you will not only focus on Account Management and new business but also on market analysis and development. This is a permanent field based role where you will work nationally, so a flexible approach is important!

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for the brand management of a range of products. Building and growing existing relationships with GPs, CCGs and wholesalers on the range of derma products, you will achieve sales growth targets whilst managing the supply chain of your product range into wholesalers, maintaining full availability.

This exciting role is much more than a standard sales position - you will have complete ownership of your products to customers and wholesalers and will create your own marketing targets, strategies, and plans, rather than working to a defined company structure. Researching events to attend that best showcase the product line, and deciding the best outlines for advertising, you will manage all marketing activity.

They are looking for someone who is self-motivated, enthusiastic and customer focused. With brand management capability and good negotiation skills, you will have a strategic portfolio development and strong sales skills.

Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and marketing experience is desirable but not essential. What is important is that you are a good communicator who is organised and target driven.

Due to the nature of the role, some evening and weekend work is essential.
