The Role

  • A critical role, you’ll be responsible for driving operational efficiency by ensuring that data is at the core of product development; not only in the post-hoc analysis of usage metrics and A/B tests
  • You will help the Product and Tech team decommission a large monolithic system safely through statistical modelling and analysis of usage patterns
  • You will support technical stakeholders in defining the data strategy, i.e. how data will be generated, collected, and consumed
  • You will work with visualization tools to bring key data patterns to life and use statistical software to manage, analyse and organise information
  • You will surface relevant third-party research to the Product and Tech team and identify external data sources to enrich our customer data sets
  • A thought leader, you will help optimise the data environment at Utility Warehouse and drive how enriched customer data is stored, accessed and analysed

You have

  • Proven track record of creating insight (not just dashboards) from unstructured data
  • A good understanding of data modeling, advanced analytics, data infrastructure and statistical learning

  • You know when machine learning is useful and when a heuristic model may be more appropriate
