Kind Consultancy is working with a multinational banking organisation who are seeking a Head of Financial Crime - Monitoring & Investigations team, part of the Financial Crime department in their Glasgow offices.

Key responsibilities of the Head of Financial Crime - Monitoring & Investigations will include:

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations of the Monitoring & Investigations team
  • Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and US regulations for Correspondent Banking and Corporate Banking relating to AML surveillance
  • Managing monthly alert volumes and aging
  • Ensuring statutory obligations for reporting suspicious activity are met
  • Managing projects and investigations including cases triggered by fraud, court orders and/or negative media
  • Supporting and supervising Intelligence, Monitoring & Investigations analysts
  • Maintaining and updating departmental policies and procedures
  • Investigating suspicious activity based on alerts from surveillance systems and manual cases from referrals
  • Ensure that the team accurately documents all supporting evidence for alerts, case closures and SAR filing

Our ideal candidate for the Head of Financial Crime - Monitoring and Investigations role:

  • Has at least two years of experience researching and/or investigating Fraud, AML, Credit or Risk
  • Has strong knowledge of AML Compliance and KYC Principles
  • Has experience of AMl surveillance systems and Case Management tools
  • Has at least two years of case management recording experience
  • Has experience of managing direct reports
  • Has at least five years experience of AML Compliance
  • Has working knowledge of Correspondent Banking
  • Is Anti-Money Laundering Certified
