My client is an international humanitarian organisation that is committed to fighting poverty, violence and injustice towards young people in over 70 countries around the world. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an impressive Charity Grants Accountant to join the charity, helping to mould a brand new role leading a new small team.
- Provides second line support to Grants Finance Officers as they support the Regional Offices (ROs), Country Offices (Cos) and National Offices (NOs) efforts to financially close grants and liquidate partner advances.
- Develop guidance and training to offices to enable effective use of financial systems for monitoring and tracking performance, use of funds, financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting with regards to grants finances.
- Develop and evolve existing reports and tools to support the Grants Finance Remediation process (verifying budgets, income and expenditure and financially closing grants).
- Supports the quarter and year end processes.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant or at least part-qualified with demonstrated extensive experience of the financial aspects of grant management from institutional donors in an INGO.
