Legal Secretary - Conveyancing
You have legal secretarial experience in the UK and are looking for a new position in Plymouth?
If so, as a member of the Residential Property secretarial team, you will provide effective administrative and secretarial support to an appointed fee earner in our law firm client, to enable that fee earner to operate at optimum efficiency.
You will assist the fee earner with progressing residential property matters from instruction through to completion. This will include but will not be limited to the preparation and submission of searches, conducting searches and enquiries through the Land Registry Portal, filing SDLT returns, preparing completion work including raising cheques, completion statements, invoicing and preparing files for closing and archiving, as well as providing general secretarial and administrative support.
Also, as a member of the Plymouth secretarial team, you will provide general administrative and secretarial support to other fee earners in the office, as and when required, either in the absence of a particular secretary or when excessive workloads require additional secretarial support, to enable such fee earners and the department as a whole to operate efficiently.
As a Legal Secretary, you will be expected to use a high degree of self-management and initiative.
