We are a firm of specialist Family Law Solicitors now seeking a Finance Manager to run its accounts and billings department at our Head Office in Nottingham. You will be a hands on team player and your initial primary objective will be to form and man-manage a functioning and coercive department that is on top of its work load. You will be a people person and have responsibility for 8 members of staff and excellent prioritisation skills for all departmental tasks.

Your responsibilities will also include the day to day running of the Finance department, preparing monthly management accounts, the monthly legal billing and credit control functions for the firm. Other duties will include sales & purchase ledger including the issuing of cheques as required, management of office & clients accounts, VAT returns, preparing cash-flow statements and budgets for all offices.

Whilst reporting to the Directors of the firm, You will have the confidence to operate on your own and manage the department workload as well as your own.

Previous legal experience and knowledge of the Legal Aid system and billing procedures are desirable but not essential .

You will be CIMA/ACCA qualified or working towards final qualification. We are offering salary circa £40-50k plus bonus plus 25 days holiday.
