Our client is an independent and reputable accountancy practice in the Blackburn area.

They specialise in providing advice and support services to small and medium-sized businesses, whether they are well-established, multi-site operations, or fledging companies setting out in business for the first time.

As a practice they understand the pressures involved in running a business and their dedicated team are well-equipped to ensure the process runs as smoothly as possible.

Their team offer specialist advice to family companies, owner managed businesses and professional partnerships and frequently assist in strategic planning, tax planning and tax mitigation as well as corporate reconstructions, general taxation queries, accountancy and business planning issues.

They offer a range of services including accounting, auditing, business- start-ups, business support, company secretarial, corporate finance, on-line services, payroll, software support, tax compliance and planning. Regarding wealth management services they also provide expert advice on personal tax planning, estate and IHT Planning, Retirement Strategies, Estate Planning and Self-Assessment.

Due to continued growth over 2017 they are now looking to add to their team and are looking for an Accounts Semi-Senior to join their established office in Blackburn.

They Key Responsibilities of this role are as follows:

-Assisting in Audit Assignments
-Preparing Statutory Accounts for Limited Companies and Corporate Tax Computations
-Being responsible for supervising junior staff, assisting in their training and development as required
-Managing a portfolio of clients
-Preparation of accounts for sole-traders, partnerships and charities
-Preparation and submission of Individual Tax returns, Company Tax returns and VAT returns
-Management Accounts on a monthly/ quarterly basis as required
-Dealing with HMRC for any Income tax/ Corp Tax/VAT/PAYE and NI enquiries / issues and investigations
-Providing Tax Advice to clients on an ad hoc basis
-Being involved in ad-hoc projects as required
-Being involved in the preparation of payroll and auto enrolment duties

-Experience within an accountancy practice
-Experience with Microsoft Office/ Word/ Excel and SAGE
-Experience with cloud accounting software would be advantageous
-Experience with Digita accounts software would be desirable
