One of London’s largest social and commercial housing associations is currently looking for a Financial Analyst to come and join them. The Financial Analyst will assist the Finance Manager by providing transactional and analytical capital finance support and excellent front line customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

It is an exciting time to be joining the organisation and it will be a challenging role; you will be part of a growing business and will add significant value by providing excellent customer service across the new organisation. Additionally, the organisation is just about to conduct an interim audit as well as amalgamating two sets of accounts across the business. The person in post is sure to be kept busy for the foreseeable future.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintenance of the fixed-asset register;
  • Analysing the depreciation of the fixed assets;
  • Component accounting;
  • Reconciliation of housing units across two organisations;
  • Preparing the annual statutory accounting notes for the fixed assets.

The successful applicant will be a Newly-Qualified or Finalist level Accountant and may come from a range of sectors, including Housing, wider public sector or commercial. You will have a good understanding of financial and capital accounting and will have experience of supporting the statutory accounting process. Your attention to detail and your verbal and written communication skills will be outstanding and you will be able to convey complex finance information to non-finance managers. You will be able to work independently and exercise good initiative and judgement. Finally, candidates will be able to demonstrate their ability to be able to prioritise their word load efficiently and be able to meet tight deadlines where necessary.
