6 month contract - Purchasing Administrator - Bootle - Salary Negotiable

I am looking for an experienced Purchasing Administrator to join a rapidly growing manufacturing site in Bootle. The role is for 6 months, but for the right person it will go permanent.

The role will require you to:
* Perform clerical tasks in an accurate and timely fashion according to accuracy and department standards.
* Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
* Complete requests for quotes.
* Issue purchase orders and expedite orders.
* Verify the purchase orders and keep PO status up to date.
* Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
* Comply with all company and HSE policies and procedures.

Within the role you will be completing requests for quotes and issuing/expedite orders. In addition you'll be closing purchase orders and providing information to internal colleagues as required.

Skills and experience required:
* Previous administrative experience within a manufacturing/engineering company is ideal, but candidates with administrative experience in a commercial environment are also invited to apply.
* The ideal candidate will have at least a basic understanding of purchasing process
* Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages - a great advantage would be Oracle usage
* A good team player: you will enjoy sharing knowledge and information to help internal colleagues.
* Confidence in decision making and prioritisation of tasks; able to exercise good judgement in line with immediate and future business needs.
* Customer service centric in your ethos.
