Field and Commissioning Engineer
Our client work within the energy sector. They are looking for a field service and commissioning engineer to be responsible for providing technical and engineering support / advice to clients and metering business for the installation, commissioning and service of metering projects installed for clients.
Ensure customer satisfaction by servicing and commissioning companies' products.
Provide technical training to customers
Complete detailed repair service and commissioning reports
Ensure equipment meets requirements of health and safety
Travel as required, typically within UK and Ireland
Skills and experience:
HNC / HND, NVQ level III or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline
Relevant gas industry training and qualifications
Experience of electrical instrumentation and control systems with a focus on gas metering and analysers.
Knowledge of gas chromatographs and or gas flow computers and meters
Strong understanding of potentially explosive atmospheres and the requirements of electrical and instrumentation design within them i.e. ATEX, DSEAR etc. (COOMPEX EX01-04 advantageous).
Proven track record of design and delivery of electrical and instrumentation systems in the oil and gas / petrochemical industry.
Gas industry standards experience IGEM, GIS etc.
Knowledge of gas metering equipment configuration and supporting (Gas chromatographs, Flow computers, Ultrasonic meters).
Electrical inspection and testing qualified to BS7671 17th Edition Regs.
Hazardous area competence certificates e.g. COMPEX
EURS Gas SHES
BOSIET (including MIST)
