Numerical Test Analyst required to join leading SME IT solutions provider to Investments space.

Role Description

As an analyst, you will be responsible for the set-up, testing and support of their stochastic modelling tools, working with senior analysts, consultants and developers to deliver high quality solutions to clients.

Reporting to the Actuarial Delivery Manager you will be responsible for

  • Functional and numerical system testing of newly developed tools and enhancements to existing tools using an agile approach, handling aspects such as data integration and defect management to ensure timely delivery to specification/requirements.

  • Configuring and testing of the systems, including independent checking of stochastic forecast results.

  • Test planning and implementation including drafting high level and low level test plans and test scenarios and scripts.

  • As part of the team, helping to maintain solid processes and procedures behind the numerical testing required for the systems to ensure accuracy and quality.

  • Client-facing responsibilities

    • supporting configuration projects from the client requirements phase through to going live

    • Supporting Clients through their Test acceptance phases

Core Skills/Qualifications

  • A degree in mathematics or a scientific discipline with high mathematical content

  • 2 + years’ experience in an actuarial or analytical systems based role

  • Good Excel knowledge

  • Good problem solving skills and ability to provide creative solutions

  • Able to work independently with excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to respond appropriately to moving or competing priorities

  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently

  • Ability to function professionally and proactively in a team environment - being a good team player is essential
