Senior Embedded Software Engineer West Midlands, Oxfordshire or South-East areas of the UK (Predominately working from home) Automotive Systems and Components £Negotiable plus benefits My client, are a recognised leader (And fortune 500 company) in the design and manufacture of advanced Automotive powertrain drive systems and a valued 1st tier supplier to global automotive car manufacturers, major off highway vehicle, bus and truck manufacturers throughout the UK and Europe. As one of the world’s leading designers and manufacturers of these products this well-established company now have a requirement for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their global software team. Predominately working from home you will be developing and deploying the company’s technologies for key UK customer projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that specialise in state of the art technology for current and future Automotive vehicles and this is a key role within the global software team where you will be involved in building their UK software capabilities through strategic recruitment of other software engineers and technologies. The successful applicant will be responsible for. The design and development of electronic and/or software content of technical Automotive products using embedded microcontrollers. Software writing using C programming language for real time embedded systems. Identifying areas that need developing in the UK team in terms of recruitment or technology and presenting this to management. The recruitment and management of new specialist Software Engineers. The testing of these designed products in vehicle in order to achieve correct functionality (Tests carried out in the UK and abroad). Participation in cost reduction activities relating to product design in order to maximise the profitability of these products. Providing technical support to manufacturing departments on design matters relating to new and existing products. Customer support and customer liaison on technical issues relating to electronic design and test.
