Installation Engineer (Gas / White Goods) Floating – providing services from various sites around Bristol, Devon and Berkshire £30k - £32k basic + overtime = £30k - £40k Own transport essential We are seeking CCN1 and CKR1 certified Installation Engineers (Gas / White Goods) for domestic gas and electric kitchen appliances in customer homes to support our exclusive contract with the UK’s most prestigious retailer for installation services across Bristol and the surrounding areas. These are primarily “floating” roles providing cover at various client depots across Bristol, Devon and Berkshire. Travel will be required using own transport to client site for which there will be mileage payments for longer journeys. A vehicle and driver will then be provided. An occasional overnight stay may be required with subsistence paid. We also have contracts with national and regional builders for site work for those who enjoy that. Shift patterns are 4 x 11hr days in a 6-day working week. There is currently no Sunday working. There are frequent opportunities for voluntary overtime plus performance based bonuses. These roles would particularly suit ex Comet engineers or those working with the larger national domestic appliance installers who prefer a more considerate working environment. Position Summary You will be required to: Organise the days duties so as to comply with the needs of the customer and in accordance with manifest and route delivery instructions Liaise with the customer prior to arrival, to confirm delivery is convenient as per manifest and safely transport appliance to customer’s property Test all provided services and evaluate location for compliance to regulations Correct or repair defective cabinets or furniture doors to permit installation Prepare the appliance prior to installation Carry out the installation of appliances in accordance with Manufactures Instructions and any changes to appliances such as door changeovers Test the installation and to complete the commissioning of appliance Complete the paperwork and creation of records Tidy and clean the area affected by the installation to customers complete satisfaction Test the installation, complete the commissioning of appliance and provide a demonstration and explanation of how the product works About you Successful candidates will be CCN1 and CKR1 certified.
