We are now recruiting a Head of Finance to join our team of 160 highly-trained staff who help to give each resident the best care and the fullest life possible. The Head of Finance holds responsibility in the Company for all aspects of the day-to-day financial management of the charitable organisation and the responsibility to provide the CEO and SMT with assurance of financial due diligence. The Head of Finance is accountable for a small finance unit and the standard operating procedures (SOP) which delegate responsibility for financial management. The Head of Finance must be able to work effectively with all staff and have excellent communication, coaching and interpersonal skills in order to disseminate rigorous financial standards with enthusiasm. The Head of Finance directly assists the SMT on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to the annual targets, annual audit, budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and the securing of new funding and asset management. ·Responsibility for implementing, operating, assuring and improving the financial systems and processes of the company ·Responsibility for the provision of timely accurate financial reporting information, including forecasting and contingency planning ·Responsibility for the annual returns to company’s house, HMRC and Charity Commission ·Ensure the provision and training and support for all members in order that the SOP is implemented, including routine and regular meetings with all budget holders ·To lead and develop staff to fulfil their potential to support the success of Donisthorpe Hall You ·Experience of managing teams; ·Exposure to charity accounting; ·Driven to pursue positive organisational change; ·Excellent numerical and excel skills The successful applicant must agree to a Enhanced Disclosure under the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) procedures.
