DB Pensions Team Leader
Job Title: Pensions Team Leader Location: Liverpool Salary: up to £38k I am currently working on behalf of a quality focussed, privately owned pensions consultancy who are keen to add to their award-winning pensions administration team because of significant scheme wins in recent months. Unlike the large multi-national pensions consultancy’s this firm prides itself on offering a member focussed approach to DB pensions administration rather than just getting as much work out of the door as quickly as possible. Because of this approach, there are several key benefits which include: Progression: As the firm continues to win large volumes of schemes, the opportunity for you to prove yourself and progress through to either an Operations Manager or Technical Specialist is significant. No longer will you be stuck in a dead person’s shoes waiting for a new role to appear. The good news is they are renowned for promoting from within and all opportunities are advertised internally first giving you the best shot at achieving your career ambitions. Bonus: As a privately-owned firm, there are no shareholders to pay. This means they can genuinely offer strong bonus’s which are typically between 5% and 10%. Bonus’s at this firm have been paid every year for over a decade. Variety of work: The firm are open to individuals from all background including scheme administration, projects and implementations. This means you have plenty of opportunity throughout your career with them to further diversify your skill set. Study support: As a result of the SLA’s being set on the side of the members rather than high volume low margin (like many of their competitors), the firm actually have the time to provide significant on the job training but also progress you through the PMI qualifications which is something many firms offer but struggle to deliver on. Its import to note they also reward you financially for examination success. It also gives you time to train junior members of the team you work with fixing the problem rather than solving it yourself and waiting for them to come to you with the same issue 2 weeks later. Ability to attract and retain the best: The culture here is one of the most important parts of the organisation. Often compared to a work family, the staff retention of firm across the UK is in excess of 96%. This is something many of their competitors simply cannot say. No longer will you lose your top performers because they can get a better offer elsewhere. Because they are such a good firm to work for, they also attract the best. This means you won’t be stressed and over worked as a result of your firm not being able to attract individuals with an experienced DB skill set. The firm are keen to speak with individuals who have either DB scheme administration or DB projects/scheme events backgrounds.
