Re-Engagement Mentor £21,564 per annum pro rata Blackburn College are looking to a recruit a Mentor to join their 'Moving On' Project team to provide mentoring support to young people aged 16-18 and 16-24 (with lifelong learning difficulties or disabilities) who are currently not in education, employment or training (NEET). The successful person will be responsible to the Moving On Coordinator and will mentor young people recruited to the College's Moving On project, focusing on engagement, re-engagement and retention. You will work closely with a caseload of young people who are NEET or at risk of becoming NEET to plan individual action plans, ensuring they are motivated and inspired to meet their objectives/aspirations. You will be a key contact to provide mentor support and arrange wider support with careers PA's/Mentor, internal College services and external support agencies. With experience of working with young people in the 16-24 age group in a similar role, you will have knowledge of the NEET group. An ability to mentor, motivate and inspire young people to establish positive relationships.
