Our finance team our currently looking for an Assistant Accountant to provide accounting support to the Financial Accountant and to ensure all financial reporting deadlines and associated requirements covering the general ledger sector of the Finance Team are met in conjunction with the Financial Accountant and Financial Controller. Key responsibilities Administer inter-group dealings (metal, toll and other recharges) to ensure on-going reconciliation and timely collection  Involvement in the control and processing of invoices for Substrate and other non-PGM materials  Assistance with certain key aspects of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable analysis and review, together with ad-hoc back-up cover for these two Financial Accounting sectors  Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations – Coordination of the monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations process to ensure that all reconciliations are completed and are available for review and sign-off respectively by the Financial Accountant and/or Financial Controller on a monthly basis  Involvement with Inter-Group and Metal Accounting processes and invoices between sites and assist in the daily purchasing of Metals  Ensure that PGM financial controls and commercial dealings are processed and PGM Customer accounts are reconciled accordingly  Perform account maintenance and integrity checks throughout the month Are you the ideal candidate? AAT or Part - Qualified (e.g. ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) Preferred.  Previous work experience in a similar role within a commercial/manufacturing environment would be advantageous.  Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft office packages. Knowledge of SAP and/or JD Edwards would be an advantage  Need to have the ability to identify weaknesses in a process and be able to implement process improvements, provide documented procedures and guidance notes.
