The Regions Fixed Fee Web Recruiters are pleased to be supporting a highly regarded contractor to the rail industry in their search for Track Operatives to be based in the Anglia region on a Zero hour contract. This Company undertakes a range of services on Network Rail's infrastructure including the delivery of track renewal projects. As a Track Operative, you will be responsible for working within a safety critical environment. You must hold a full (ideally clean) driving licence with your own transport. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly skilled workforce. As a new entrant to the rail industry it is paramount that you are given the appropriate training and assessment to ensure that you are fully competent whilst working on the railway infrastructure. You will be put through a 10 day track induction which includes your Personal Track Safety, the course will provide you with the basics of track maintenance. However it will be highly beneficial if you have the following knowledge and experience: Good geographical knowledge Problem solving skills Able to commit to various shifts days, nights and weekends This position is safety critical and therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing and a pre-employment medical. Shifts will be a variation of days and nights, mainly weekend work but shifts can be available in the week. On offer is a salary of £8.25 - £9.00 per hour dependant on shift times.
