Business Development Manager - Engineering Forge
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for the internal sales and estimating team (5) JOB PURPOSE: To support The General Manager Sales with all aspects of business development in the UK & Global markets. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct extensive market research with regard to the UK engineering industry. Develop Electronic marketing media Make regular telephone contact with new potential customers. Conduct visits at the earliest possibility. Perform company presentations regarding capabilities Maintain the upkeep of the CRM System. Ascertain new customer credit risk Present quotations Provide market intelligence regarding the activities of competitors Supply feedback from customers Ensure timely quotations Liaise with sales department regarding visits to existing customers Advise planned visits one week in advance Attend regular sales meetings held at Halesowen (When on site) Check progress of new orders with production department Liaising with customers in order to secure orders Updating and maintaining estimation quotation database PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: To balance marketing activities within the office and customer visits Managing a team of estimators & sales team RELATIONSHIPS: Close working relationship with all areas of sales and manufacturing departments to develop new customer accounts and meet their requirements. Liaising with the customer to give the most accurate feedback regarding pricing, delivery and on time delivery ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The candidate will ideally have an engineering background from within a reputable and established forge.
