Job Title: Operations Coordinator
Location: Chippenham
Salary: Up to £25,000 dependent upon experience

We have a great opportunity for an Operations Coordinator to join our Client a footwear company based in Chippenham. The main focus of this Operations Coordinator is on the analysing and monitoring of stock levels of their core product range with a goal of delivering on time in full every time whilst maintaining a healthy stock level and avoiding costly airfreight. Our Client has around half a dozen key suppliers fulfilling approximately 100 different styles of footwear.

The Operations Coordinator role in more detail includes assisting with:

  • Stock Management and Purchasing:

o Running product usage reports, analysing and comparing actual usages against forecasts, identify trends/anomalies

o Coordinating a monthly meeting with the sales team to review actual vs forecasted usages and adjust forecasts

o Set up new item codes on ERP system

o Monitor upcoming shipping requirements, build draft shipping/container plans

o Liaise with 3PL over inbound shipment dates and booking slots, send documents and customs clearance instructions

o Run daily stock reconciliation tool between our clients ERP and 3PL WMS, investigate and sort any differences

o Match off return receipts and adjust stock as necessary.

o Compile information and images of returns to send to suppliers along with debit notes for faulty products

o Monitor and maintain stock levels of sundry items such as stationery, coffee, other consumables

o Raise and follow up purchase orders and receive into stock on ERP system

  • Supply Chain:

o Help set up and maintain supplier performance monitoring tools for key suppliers - footwear factories, inbound and outbound freight carriers, 3PL etc

o Help draft out supplier contracts and ensure all supplier contracts are signed and up to date

o Act as liaison between the company and 3PL over all day-to-day operational activities

  • Quality Control:

o Carry out general admin assistance to the QC manager as required

  • Facilities Management i.e. lights off, windows shut, minor facilities maintenance and organising repairs etc.

Skills required:

  • Previous experience within a similar role
  • Can demonstrate being organised and efficient
  • Analytical
  • Accurate and precise with a high level of attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Very well qualified in excel
  • Methodical and regimented
  • Tenacious in follow up

Other skills that would be useful:

  • Understands Far East culture
  • Any background in manufacturing and lean processes
  • Logical problem solving mind

Hours of work are: 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday.
