Business Development Consultant (Financial Services)
Our client is an award winning provider of some of the most innovative life, protection and health products on the market today. As part of their growth plans they are launching a range of pre and post retirement investment products which will bring a new dimension to the investment market and provide professional advisers with a new, truly client focused portfolio of products with which to advise their clients on.
Working within the intermediary market we are seeking a suitably qualified individual whose objective is to build and develop relationships with a panel of professional intermediaries within the North East area.
You will have the ability to influence and build credibility within a very competitive marketplace. To achieve this you must build thorough product and technical knowledge coupled and couple this with the ability to get to know your clients business and how best to support them. In addition you will be able to demonstrate that you have experience in using your own initiative, planning daily activities to maximise business opportunities and support your intermediaries as required.
A strong group presenter you will feel comfortable dealing with people at all levels of experience and have the ability, drive and tenacity to overcome objections and build relationships through knowledge and providing exceptional service.
The products are industry leading and the company name will be known by all. However this does not take away from the fact that you will need to be proactive in your planning to ensure your panels business is maximised and that networking for new business is at the fore front of what you do on a daily basis.
Experience & Role Requirements
- The following qualifications are required: RO2RO5 (Or equivalent)
- Proven track record within the Investment industry with a minimum of 2 years working with intermediaries within an investment based market
- Level 4 Qualified
- Previous experience within the intermediary market
The basic salary is negotiable and is dependent upon experience and will be between £36,000 and £45,000 pa. There is a bonus element to the role with an expectation to earn around £100,000 OTE. In addition there is a range of employee benefits.
We are seeking candidates who have financial services industry experience within the intermediary market, this role is home based so you must be able work effectively and have the drive and determination to plan your own activity. Comprehensive initial and ongoing training will be provided as will all the tools to ensure you can deliver exceptional service to your panel.
This role will suit someone who can deliver bottom line results through proactive planning, product and industry knowledge. You must be hungry to earn and have the ability to network for new clients whilst retaining and maximising existing ones.
