What impact will you make? The Opportunity Tax Management Consulting (TMC) is a national group of 600 tax specialists who work together as one agile team providing a range of tax compliance services for our clients. TMC is based in Hubs around the UK, and Centres of Excellence in the UK and India. Role description The role of administrator sits within the TMC Private Client Services (PCS) area of our business. As an administrator in PCS TMC, you will assist technical staff within your department. Location You will be based in Deloitte’s Leeds or Newcastle office. Hours This is a full time fixed term contract role with a degree of flexibility. We do encourage careful consideration of agile ways of working, both formal and informal arrangements that allow for the best outcomes for our people and our clients. Standard working hours in office will be 0900 - 1730 Monday to Friday. Given the compliance cycle, overtime work may arise at certain points, most typically on the run up to January. Responsibilities As an administrator you will be responsible for the provision of administrative support for all aspects of the compliance process including supporting the TMC PCS team. Office based duties include: -Assistance in preparing our annual letters to clients requesting their tax return information. -Monitoring when clients send back their tax return information and updating our systems accordingly. -Running reports from CCH, our dedicated tax return software. -Organising timely chasers where information has not been received. -Canning tax return information that has been received and forwarding to our PCS Centre of Excellence (COE). -Completing and forwarding standard documentation to assist COE. -Setting up of client files (electronic and/or paper). -Printing off information following COE’s preparation of the tax return -Electronic submission of completed tax returns using CCH. -Assistance with our internal new client procedures – including; Ø Liaising with our dedicated team (QROPS and Revenue Controllers) to ensure that they have the information required to complete the new client procedures Ø Scanning engagement letters and filing electronically Ø Completing standard ‘new client’ documentation Requirements To qualify for the role you must have: -Significant experience of working in an administrative role -Able to deal effectively with issues face-to-face, by telephone and by e-mail -Strong attention to detail -Methodical and organised working skills -Calm under pressure -Strong team working skills -Able to follow defined procedures and protocols -Able to operate a basic computer system for data entry and interrogation -Desire to be flexible and proactive in suggesting ideas for streamlining the processes.
