FPSG have a unique opportunity for Infrastructure Business Analyst to be based in Glasgow. The client are going through an exciting period of growth and currently expanding their IT team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role within the organisation. Working alongside Subject Matter Experts, Solutions Architects and Project Management teams to validate the project and drive the requirements. The projects you will be working on will be large in scale, typically cross-functional and extremely technical, so although not a "hands on" role the right candidate will be able develop and understand detailed infrastructure requirements. Role Responsibilities · Review incoming requests requiring Infrastructure services to help identify high-level requirements, performing technical research and detailed analysis as required. · Work closely with cross functional teams, Subject Matter Experts to validate the project ask and drive requirements elicitation as required during the systems development life cycle. · Complete and publish project documentation. · Produce detailed and summary infrastructure related cost estimates for projects and discretionary initiatives. · Feedback and present to stakeholders. · Accountable for the effectiveness, quality and timeliness of project design decisions. · Prepare business requirements reports, feasibility studies, and cost justification statements. · Participate in the development of basic infrastructure solutions intended for project use. To be a successful Infrastructure Business Analyst · High level of knowledge and understanding in areas such as areas (Operating Systems, Databases, Systems Management, Network, Security, Storage and Backup, Internet Tech, Private/Public Cloud, Virtualization, Directory Services, Application Servers, Hardware, etc). · Be able to demonstrate past experiences of planning milestones for projects and tasks and achieving completion. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills, you will be responsible for handing over projects to various PM teams with all the requirements detailed. · Respond quickly to a change in the work focus. · Demonstrated history of strong communication and collaboration abilities in a highly matrixed environment. · Ideally you will have worked in an Agile environment and be a strong advocator of working and delivering this way.
