This role reports into the Senior Plant Manager What will you be doing? As Plant Manager of one of our manufacturing plants at the Lostock Site, you will be responsible for optimising day to day plant performance as well as devising and implementing a programme of improvements to improve safety and environmental standards, increase efficiency, reduce costs and increase productivity of a critical operation. What kind of person are we looking for? Someone with at least 5 years experience of successfully managing process plant operations to achieve stretching KPIs. Degree qualified in Chemistry or an Engineering discipline is desirable but not essential. A proven track record of successfully introducing operational excellence initiatives including Lean, TPM, 6 sigma. Attributes of the successful candidate will include: Has a track record of continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance in a process industry environment. A formal Safety qualification would be beneficial. Has excellent planning and problem solving skills using a structured data driven approach. Is a creative thinker with the ability to prioritise what is mission critical and get on and do it. A game changer who is willing and able to adopt a 'sleeves rolled up' approach when required A natural leader with the ability to inspire people to take a new path as required. A team player with a collaborative approach. An ambitious individual who has the ability to develop and progress within the organisation. What can you expect in return?
