Assistant Management Accountant

Our client, a St Albans based Technology Company is looking for a skilled Management Accountant


  • Recognised accounts qualification
  • Office 365, especially Excel competence
  • Detail oriented, thorough and organised
  • Working to tight deadlines
  • Able to communicate at all levels
  • SAP Business One experience is a plus

Job Description

  • Preparing and consolidating group management accounts.
    • o Posting monthly journals e.g. wages and depreciation.
    • o Accruals and Prepayments.
    • o Inter-company cross charges and transactions.
    • o Reconcile and manage multiple entities.
  • Working with Excel spreadsheets for:
    • o Working papers e.g. Accruals, Prepayments and Petty cash transactions.
    • o Fixed Asset registers.
    • o Check and value Stock.
  • Budgeting
    • o Updating forecast
    • o Reporting to budget
  • Day to day activities on sales and purchase ledgers.
    • o Invoices, cash, journals, allocations.
    • o Overseeing the reconciliation of the Ledgers.
  • Supervise the department and liaise with the rest of the company.
  • Liaising with Auditors, bank and statutory
    • o Provide accurate working papers
    • o Provide information and back-up for auditsas requested
  • VAT
    • o Preparing Intrastat and EC Sales figures.
    • o Reconcile VAT Figures to Intrastat and EC Sales.
    • o Preparing and submitting the VAT returns
