Your team is focused on building new digital solutions aimed at automating and enhancing client value traditionally provided by professional service and practice firms.

About the role

The Applications Lead will work from our London offices, to support the business unit in driving forward the development of digital products and services designed for SME businesses. As an Applications Lead you will take ownership of developing business ideas approved by the business, into digital products ready for market launch.

The focus of the role will be to work with internal stakeholders in scoping and prioritising product development while working with internal, external and overseas project members in managing expectations and achieving core product milestones and deadlines.

Having a background in delivering financial information and advisory services within practice to clients, you will be involved with re-imagining how traditional accounting and advisory services are provided in a future which is more digitally enabled.

As an effective communicator you will gather views from various project stakeholders and facilitate their needs with teams across design, development, testing and product deployment phases. The delivery of work can include, but is not limited to:

  • Scope, design and manage the development of digital products from initial concept to market deployment.
  • Work with the product team leader to identify, secure and manage all resources required to deploy digital products to market.
  • Product leader for all applications delivered with responsibility for optimisation, maintenance and lead distribution through to the relevant teams
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders and be responsible for product timelines
  • Manage internal process approvals from various risk & quality teams
  • Facilitate the adoption new digital products and services
  • As part of a new and evolving offering, you will have the opportunity to be develop and enhance your skills in digital product development.
  • Essential skills and experienceWe require experienced managers and senior managers who have the desire to possess the following technical skills and experience.
  • ACA /ACCA qualified (or equivalent understanding of accounting and business principles)
  • Previous management experience working in practice (Big 4 experience desirable)
  • Experience in working within a global team
  • Experience advising and working with small businesses
  • Digital product experience and exposure to agile project management frameworks
  • Strong relationship / handling, communication and project management skills
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Takes a practical and lean approach to solving problems
  • Hands on working with cloud enabled accounting packages and project management
  • Good knowledge of finance, accounting, and business advisory digital offerings currently in the market
