Job Description: We are looking for a System Administrator to join our team. This position requires maintaining and enhancing the server and network infrastructure of our organisation. Job Responsibilities: • Day-to-day Administration of IT Environment (Windows and Linux servers, CISCO switches, Linux routers, and any hosted services) • Familiarity with Linux (command line, scripting, iptables, LAMP stack, syslog, OpenVPN desired but not required) • Configuration of new servers • Verify and report bugs/issues in any internal or customer facing application to relevant vendor or internal development team • Active Directory User/Group/GPO Administration • Assist Level 1 Helpdesk with tickets that require assistance • Assist with any hands-on IT needs in our office (remote desktop support) • Assist with writing of end user and helpdesk documentation as required • Daily use of IT ticketing system • Ability to perform network cabling, punch down, and termination • Knowledge of IP networks (DHCP, DNS, Subnets,VLANS, NAT) and troubleshooting (ping, traceroute, wireshark, etc.) • Vendor management and procurement of Datacentre related infrastructure • Organise POC and make recommendation • Self-motivated and MUST be able to work in minimally managed work environment • Must have flexibility/willingness to work on-call hours (both weekdays and weekends).Job Qualifications:• 2 to 5 years of Linux experience including supporting, setting up and troubleshooting various flavor of Linux• Linux scripting • Application installation, support, testing, and troubleshooting skills • Demonstrated effective project management experience • Backup and Restore Experience • System Monitoring Experience • Enjoys a fast paced environment • Excellent customer service skills • Able to work and interact with others in a structured / team environment • Accuracy and attention to detail, must have organizational skills, independent problem solver with troubleshooting, decision making and analytical skills • Flexibility and adaptability to handle competing work demands • Verbal and written communication skills • Demonstrated ability to communicate to nontechnical audience on technical issues • Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call • Ability to do limited travel (0 - 4 times a year).
