My client a leading media company has an opportunity for a talented Product Manager looking to progress their career. Looking for a motivated individual who can quickly understand the business and bring viable strategic and tactical solutions to drive the core brands towards their commercial objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with research, design, UX, analytics, the commercial team and engineers. He/She will craft the vision for each title, investigate user journeys and optimise them, become the voice of the reader in the organisation and identify business opportunities. Be the voice of the user, using quantitative and qualitative data to develop an in depth understanding of the way users are consuming content and the reasons behind it Collaborate with UX, Design, Research and engineering teams to translate the understanding of user behaviour into experiments to build, measure and learn from Craft the Product Vision for each title together with the publisher and the commercial team Conduct market research and competitive analysis Lead the development process of solutions, take decisions based on data and communicate the process to stakeholders Own the roadmap Be the Product Owner for agile developments, building and grooming product backlogs and setting development priorities Co-ordinate developments undertaken by third parties Track and analyse success metrics while feeding back outcomes into the product process Skills required: A proven self starter who can hit the ground running - demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt Commercial product management experience with a track record of delivering customer-facing digital products Knowledge of the entire product lifecycle from insights/analysis, roadmap development, UX, UI and data-driven approaches Confidence in leading teams and stakeholders by influence, with no official authority A confident written and oral communicator - able to win the trust of stakeholders An ability to understand commercial imperatives behind product needs Previous experience of working within high-growth digital businesses, having brought innovative products to market Have a passion for digital business, mobile and emerging technologies Desirable An MBA A personal interest in the news media, relishing the chance to help build the future of one of the great global brands in media Worked in an Agile environment A competitive salary and bonus scheme, learning and development opportunities coupled with the following benefits: 25 days annual leave, increasing to 30 after 2 years Subsidised Nuffield gym membership Pension plan (double contributions up to a maximum of 16%) Season ticket loan Private Healthcare / Dental plan Life assurance up to 4 x annual salary Bike to work scheme Childcare vouchers Give As You Earn The technology department is a team 250+ staff and spans server-side, web and cloud software engineering, quality assurance, integration, on-premise and cloud provisioning, operational support, IT governance, programme/project management & customer/supplier management.
