MANUFACTURING ENGINEER We are a market leading design, development & manufacturing organisation with a global supply base and a name synonymous with excellence. Due to product development and streamlining we are currently seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to undertake a varied, autonomous role in support of new products and ongoing legacy optimisation. As Manufacturing Engineer your role will be diverse and span full support of low volume in house production (electro-mechanical) within emphasis on support a number of new product introduction (NPI) projects as well as improving existing processes. Key accountabilities for Manufacturing Engineer will include: Utilising your process development and lean skills to monitor and drive improvements to achieve quality, cost and delivery requirements Supporting a number of new product development projects (NPI) Introducing new/amended products into our in house production environment. Key accountabilities: New Production Introduction (NPI) Process into Production Driving continuous improvement and using lean tools such as FMEA's during design for manufacture (DFM) stages to embed product quality early on Generating/Updating/Implementation of Build Processes / manufacturing routing and writing work instructions Supporting the design and manufacture of test equipment and provision of support for and new test equipment Driving Improvement through Root Cause Analysis and Corrective and Preventative Action with Engineering through Engineering Change, Production through Process Yields and Suppliers with Returns and Supplier Corrective and Preventive Actions. Create a controlled environment for production using documentation and training for existing, new and revised improvements. To succeed in this role you will ideally be an HNC/D + qualified Manufacturing / Production Engineer with a number of years proven experience in an electro-mechanical or mechanical assembly manufacturing environment. Excellent problem solving skills essential as are first class communication skills. An understanding of lean manufacturing techniques highly advantageous.
