Key Responsibilities Discussion and assessment of Tender opportunities with the Major Projects Sales Representative and completion of the corresponding application for approval to bid Review of all documentation provided at tender stage and responsibility for all data requests Liaising with the Sales Manager and the Client where necessary in any early contract discussions Maintaining and updating Major Project Approval Applications to ensure TKE UK complies with OU requirements and providing all supporting information required for approval Negotiation of the final contract with the Sales Manager, taking advice from the Major Projects Project Manager, Head of Commercial and other key decision makers Processing and booking of order – liaison with Finance, Installation Team and OU Ongoing Contractual Management and support to the Project Manager – working closely with Project Managers, Sales Manager and Finance, from handover to final account, ensuring project costs are managed and costs and events are correctly recorded and notified Advising acceptable company standards and protecting the Company’s interests Maintenance and monitoring of key project files Completion of the necessary preparations for bonds and warranties, whilst ensuring group standards and requirements are met Liaising with appointed Project Managers, the Sales Team and Department Head to ensure commercial risks and opportunities are understood Assisting on the production of Project Cash Flow Analysis with Project Managers Ensuring payment applications are made in due time to minimise risk and ensure payments are then made in line with the Contract Attending necessary meetings internally and externally to ensure contracts are being fulfilled Visit site for each Major Project on regular basis and issue a report after each visit, highlighting progress of works and any other issue of importance Assisting the Project Manager in negotiating and agreeing final accounts JOB DESCRIPTION - Major Projects Quantity Surveyor General support to the Commercial Department Draft contractual letters to Employers, Main Contractors, Subcontractors and other entities as required by the Head of Department Prepare and finalise tenders for Subcontractors/ Suppliers Prepare and finalise Subcontracts with close liaison between the Commercial Department, Sales Department and the Project Manager Review payment applications by subcontractors and issue payment certificates accordingly Maintain subcontractor’s accounts for each project and provide weekly/ monthly reports highlighting commercial risks in advance Required Experience/ Knowledge Excellent communication skills at all levels Excellent organisational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project) Qualified to degree level or similar in a relevant specialism The ideal candidate will have experience working in the lift industry and knowledge of main institutionalised construction contracts Some UK travel may be involved (Travel will be paid as expenses apart from to and from the London based office) To apply you need to be RICS qualified as an absolute must but also flexible on current field and areas of experience, providing they are up for a challenge and being a part of a busy and developing team
