Financial Controller: A qualified, proactive, Financial Controller with experience in a manufacturing environment is required to join a leading specialist manufacturer and supplier of building envelope materials to help develop and improve the finance function of their business.

The Financial Controller will report to the part-time CFO and company Board whilst overseeing the finance team. This is a newly created role and the Financial Controller will play a key part in supporting and delivering the forecast exponential growth over the coming years.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the Finance team on a day to day basis
- Prepare monthly management accounts for review (Fixed assets/Depreciation, Accruals and prepayments, Payroll, other journals and reconciliations, KPI reporting)
- Help to create and manage annual budgets
- Prepare annual statutory accounts and tax files
- Be the day-to-day point of contact for the group's auditors and tax advisors
- R&D Tax credits
- VAT returns
- Review and validate Gross Margin reporting
- Time sheet and utilisation reporting
- Stock and WIP management within Epicor
- Capex review, plan and schedule
- Cost control and reduction
- Manage monthly and weekly cash flow, based on actuals and forecast cash requirements
- Maintain strong systems and controls to ensure adequate documentation, audit trials and Policies and Procedures are in place and adhered to
- Company insurances, credit insurance and claims management
- Ad hoc investigations and internal audit

Skills & Experience:
- Essential that the Financial Controller has direct experience of working in a manufacturing environment
- Experience of using ERP software, ideally Epicor
- Good Excel skills are a pre-requisite
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage relationships with non-finance colleagues at all levels
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
