My client is an industry leading blue chip manufacturer with multiple operations across the UK. Working from their site near Runcorn, my client currently seeks a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join their engineering department to work across either a 2 shift or 4 on 4 off shift pattern. As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will report to the site Maintenance Group Leaders , and be responsible for providing breakdown and preventative maintenance cover and installation work throughout their Runcorn site, Liaising closely with Engineering and Operational teams and adhering to safe working practices, you’ll undertake new work and installation, using current regulations as a benchmark, and help with the installation/upgrade of plant and equipment. Supporting and engaging with Lean manufacturing techniques, you’ll also: • Work proactively and reactively using multi-skilled practices • Operate within a permit-to-work system • Document and collate any routine maintenance information, entering data electronically, and support the PPM system. You must be a time served Electrician/Multi-skilled Engineer, ideally with supplementary qualifications, having completed a recognised apprenticeship. You’ll need a proven track record in a similar role, where you’ve gained experience of CNC machinery, preferably in a fast-moving manufacturing environment. A working knowledge and experience of Siemens s7 PLC, Beckhoff PLC, Pilz Safety PLC and Mitsubishi PLC would be desirable. Capable of working under pressure, especially when breakdowns arise and production is high, you can also offer: • The ability to work with PLC programmes • The willingness to work outdoors, sometimes in adverse weather conditions, for which warm clothing will be provided • The flexibility to work long/unsociable hours occasionally at short/no notice
