Treasury Director - EMEA & APAC McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with an International Distribution company who are a Global leader in IT products and services. With revenues close to US$40billion and nearly 15,000 employees worldwide, they are seeking a highly experienced Treasury Director who will be responsible for the EMEA and APAC regions. Co-ordinating all treasury functions including bank relationships, forex operations, risk management, working capital, cash forecasting, financial modeling and managing Treasury teams in the regions, other key duties include: • Interacting with operating & financial staff across multiple countries, each with unique processes, operations and financial/economic decision inputs • Liaising with multiple banks in all countries and other financial counterparties, each with their own processes and regulations. • Managing day-to-day EMEA & APAC Treasury back and front office operations through execution of core treasury tasks • Responsible for in-house bank management, cash & debt management, foreign exchange operations, risk management, financial analysis, modelling and treasury planning • Ensuring Treasury SOX compliance, managing the necessary operational and IT related process controls. • Implementing cash management structures across the regions, negotiating bank agreements and overseeing cash flow controls. • Providing extensive foreign currency oversight and related risk management. • Setting up management tools for data analysis, reporting and KPI’s to understand and evaluate the dynamics in regional Treasury environments. • Ensuring accurate completion of month-end activities including revaluations and reporting. • Treasury system implementations and enhancements, in order to optimise and meet changing business needs. • Designing new funding solutions for various countries, liaising with Corporate Treasury HQ in the US. • Maintaining strong relationships with EMEA and APAC business units, other worldwide Corporate functions and EMEA/APAC banks. • Working with other EMEA and APAC Tax, Legal and Accounting Departments on projects and facilitating effective information sharing • Managing Treasury Managers and their teams across the regions, leading by example and establishing measurable goals for staff members and teams • Providing financial analysis and supporting documents for Treasury related projects, following all procedures within the company’s security policy. • Driving continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and Treasury metrics management. To be considered for the position you should have experience in developing and implementing Treasury plans which contribute to the strategic direction of a $multi-billion business; be used to providing regular updates to US Corporate Treasury on the execution of Treasury plans; and continually look to reduce costs by streamlining processes & systems (eg, consolidation of tasks, eliminating non value-add processes, re-engineering systems). You should be able to swiftly analyse and interpret Treasury related agreements (loan & credit agreements, working capital agreements, customer/supplier contracts), provide commentary to address any issues identified and review financial risks & opportunities with senior management. You should have significant International Treasury expertise ideally within a complex US-driven business with an advanced degree, ACA/ACCA/ACT Qualification and strong staff management skills across multiple locations. Exposure within the Distribution or IT sectors would be highly desirable (although not essential), you should be used to operating at board level, dealing with C-suite executives and happy to undertake approx. 50% travel across the UK, EMEA & Asia Pacific as part of the role. On offer is a base salary to £110,000 + bonus, 25 days holiday, company pension/healthcare scheme and other flexible benefits.
