Our client is a leading business in the agriculture sector who help improve global food production through a variety of products and innovations that make better use of available resources through world class science and innovative crop solutions

They are currently looking to recruit an Indirects or Services Procurement Manager in Manchester or Bracknell to work with some of their key business units to ensure they achieve their business objectives and also strengthen their strong environmental and social performance.

You will provide an end to end procurement service across a range of indirect categories aiming to provide solutions tailored to the business needs. The role is a mix of both hands on sourcing and procurement as well as acting as the interface between the business unit and the procurement function. In effect; an ambassador advocating solutions that work for the business but that also meet broader procurement strategies, policies and processes.

Ideally you will have some experience of working with Production and Supply teams or Corporate IS functions.

You must have

  • Some experience of being the face of procurement to stakeholders able to design and execute solutions to meet their challenges

  • In depth knowledge of purchasing procedures and processes and good experience of indirect or services procurement

  • A good understanding of how to influence and gain agreement internally.

  • You will have excellent cross-cultural understanding

  • Able to work in a complex multi-national business.

  • A good understanding of category management.

  • Able to work at pace and lead and run multiple procurement projects at any one time

  • Good communication and presentation skills are key.

There will be some travel within the UK and some occasional travel with the EU. The role can be based in either near Manchester or Bracknell area.
