The Role;

Primarily leading the development of their core ecommerce software product, whilst also helping the team build projects being rolled out on it. The role will be focused around coding, architecture and new feature development on an existing system along with adding new functionality and ongoing maintenance.

Working closely with other members of the team, responsibilities will include:

- Design and development of pragmatic solutions to complex problems
- Embrace a continuous improvement culture, adopting new technologies and platforms
- Share experiences and knowledge with teams
- Contribute help to reduce lead/cycle time and improve quality
- Help to maintain a WIKI of system documentation, coding procedures and processes.

Requirements (Essential);

- Experience with PHP5+
- Database creation, integration, and management using MySQL
- Modern version control systems (e.g. Git, SVN, BitBucket)
- Excellent understanding of good software design principles
- JS/JQuery, HTML5 and CSS/SASS
- Have knowledge of MVC architecture and methodologies.
- Understanding of Agile software development methodology experience: TDD, Scrum, etc
- Designing, building and updating PHP MVC applications and CMS front ends, ideally CodeIgniter
- Integration of user-facing elements developed by our front-end developers with server-side logic
- Building reusable code and libraries for future use

Requirements (Desirable);

- Experience with REST APIs
- React.js
- Experience with using terminal for server management
- Awareness of DevOps, Continuous Integration and Release Management
- Some experience with Google Cloud Platform
