As part of our continued growth we have an exciting opportunity for a PMO Analyst to join our team in support of our Transformation Programme Lead. The successful applicant will be available for 3 days per week with a pro rata salary of circa £25,000pa

The PMO Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Working with the Transformation Programme Lead to develop and implement the Transformation Programme Framework and associated governance
  • Support the implementation and management of an established meeting cadence and drive adhere to the agreed terms of reference for the different forums / meetings to ensure that standards and ways of working meet best practice
  • Organise meetings / workshops to identify areas of improvement for projects, documenting recommendations and presenting them to the relevant stakeholders
  • Develop and build a repository of project templates to support project managers – using examples of best practice from current and past projects
  • Continue to evolve the processes and templates throughout the project lifecycle
  • Implement project standards across all projects in the portfolio
  • Update and administer the programme plan as required using updates from Project Managers and Leads, ensuring timely reporting and presentation at key programme meetings, e.g. Steer Co, Programme Board and Project Team Meetings
  • Manage communications from the PMO mailbox including regular reporting cycle requests
  • Prepare consolidated material from project reports for monthly review
  • Complete and distribute monthly Steer Co and Programme Board level reports.
  • Project Management
  • Provide effective project management coaching and support to project teams within the programme
  • Co-ordination of projects as part of programme scope
  • Ensuring project plans are created and maintained, deliverables tracked against time and cost and resource utilisation is monitored

The Successful PMO Analyst will possess:

  • A degree level qualification or equivalent
  • Prince 2, MSP or APM qualifications or Project Management experience
  • Experience of managing projects, or exposure to the end to end project lifecycle, or managing substantial parts of the project lifecycle
  • Knowledge of project management tools and techniques
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages, including Project, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Understanding of the importance for detail and organisation
  • Skill at managing stakeholder groups and balancing diplomacy and tact with assertiveness
  • Very good prioritisation skills to balance key priorities
  • A strong customer centric approach
