In recent years the company has enjoyed significant growth, now supporting over 10,500 Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV's) customers supplied through the Motability Scheme. We aim to deliver comprehensive support and excellent customer experiences, ensuring our customers are getting the best out of their vehicles.

Due to the success of the customer relations project, we are now looking to expand the team and are recruiting for an additional Mobile Ford Technician to carry out these important annual checks in Coventry, Northampton, Leicester or Birmingham.

You must be a time-service FORD mechanic Previous automotive experience and a qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair are essential. The ideal candidate must have an understanding of general 'hands on' repairs, good experience of using hand tools and have a pleasant approach with customers. Basic PC skills would also be helpful and a full UK Driving Licence is essential. The successful candidate will live and be based in Coventry or the surrounding areas.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Perform all work assigned quickly, economically and to the Company and Manufacturers standards
  • Advise Workshop Controller if additional work is required on the vehicle and seek assistance from them in the rectification of any faults
  • Maintain a high level of competence for work to be undertaken by undergoing site training
  • Discuss with customers, problems with their vehicles as requested
  • Assist management in the introduction of new methods of work designed to improve efficiency
  • Complete vehicle conditions report sheets and job cards
What’s on offer?

  • An annual salary of £35,000 OTE
  • Uncapped potential earnings for meeting individual targets and over all team performance is available
  • 22 days holidays and 8 public holidays per year
  • You will be scheduled to work 40 hours over 5 days between the hours of 9am and 6pm, this may include some weekend hours so a flexible approach is essential. Your shift time starts and ends from your home, and is built around the customers you are visiting that day.

  • A fuel card will be provided for business mileage
  • A mobile phone will be provided for business use
