Project Manager - Engineering & Manufacturing
One of the largest privately owned groups in the fluid power engineering industry is looking to strengthen their team with the appointment of an experienced and qualified Project Manager, ideally with an engineering / manufacturing background, to join the team and take the lead on a range of complex projects that will help transform the shape of this dynamic and successful business.
Specialising in miniature assemblies, custom manifolds and air products, this market leading British group of companies offers innovative engineering solutions for a diverse range of industries including; defence, offshore, aerospace, medical, animatronics, and ship building industries, as well as the traditional fluid power sector. As one of the largest privately owned groups in the industry, they have been supplying quality pneumatic products for over 40 years, and now employ over 100 staff across the business.
SALARY: £28,000 - £45,000, (depending on experience) plus attractive bonus and private healthcare.
LOCATION: Based at the company’s main manufacturing site in Waterlooville, Hampshire. You must either live within easy daily commuting distance, or be willing to relocate at your own expense.
Working in close collaboration with senior managers across the business, in your varied and challenging role as Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a range of diverse and complex projects and business improvement programmes, including;
* Group focussed IT projects
* Quality / Manufacturing
* Technical / Engineering
* Customer / New Business Development
* Relocation / New building management.
As well as being responsible for managing projects throughout their full lifecycle, planning, monitoring and controlling programmes to ensure that schedules and requirements are adhered to and initiatives are delivered on time, within budget and to a high quality, you will also be involved with identifying potential business change projects, evaluating their feasibility and designing and implementing new initiatives with robust governance frameworks to reinforce the benefits of change.
An experienced Project Manager with a recognised project management qualification, such as PRINCE2, you will probably have an engineering / technical, or manufacturing background, with a degree in business, management, engineering or a scientific discipline, and will possess a demonstrable track record of success planning, budgeting, executing and delivering complex project on time and to budget.
You will be a decisive, influential and analytical project management professional, with at least five years’ project management and business change experience, with excellent communication and negotiation skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and strong leadership / management skills.
Your current or previous roles or the types of position you may be considering could include; Project Manager, Business Improvement Manage, Transformation & Project Manager, Project Lead, Business Change Consultant, Senior Project Engineer, Senior Project Co-ordinator, Business Process Manager, or similar.
