An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to work in a fast growing pension organization based in Bristol. This will be for Maternity cover and on a full time basis.

Reporting to the Finance Manager the main purpose of the role will be to support the Finance Department to ensure the smooth running of the finance function as a whole.

We are looking for a dynamic individual who will be able to pro-actively support the team in the day to day administration of the various financial tasks our team has. An Ideal candidate would be part qualified to AAT/CAT standard or equivalent but consideration will also be given to candidates who can demonstrate relevant experience and expertise in the areas we are looking for. Attention to detail and accuracy will be imperative within this role.

Training will be given but knowledge and experience in the areas detailed in the below tasks along with strong IT skills would be desirable for this position. You must be a pro-active team player whilst also having the ability to work on your own initiative.

The main duties of the Finance Assistant will include:

-Work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure smooth operation of all finance matters.

-Deal with the pension payroll run.

-Input the sales and purchase ledgers from source documents.

-Assist with the collection of Direct Debits

-Assist with contribution tax reclaims.

-Reconciliations of client bank accounts and corporate accounts.

-Input accounting data into the accounting system with speed and accuracy.

-Debt Management

-Ensure the collection of fees from client accounts.

-Assist with the authorisation of payments.

-Assist with the daily bank upload of transactions to system.

-Production of management information reports as requested.

-Plan, organise and manage workload to ensure your contribution to the company’s monthly financial reporting process is achieved in a timely and accurate manner.

-Any other duties that may be deemed appropriate to this role.

The position offers a salary range of £19,000 - £22,000 depending on qualifications and experience + benefits package.
