A leading National House Builder are looking to recruit an Engineer / Technical Coordinator to work from their Coleshill office to work in the Engineering & Technical team.

The role:
You will work as an Engineer for a variety of House building projects across the Midlands and will control and co-ordinate all technical information between external consultants and internal departments. You will ensure all approvals are obtained and information received issued to allow for a programmed start on site. You will understand, implement and adhere to SHEQ policy and strategy
Reporting to the Engineering Manager the main duties will include:-
Work with Land Department to ensure smooth transition of information.
Check all drawings and details for accuracy, correctness and commercial suitability.
Liaise with external consultants to ensure deadlines are met.
Apply for and secure statutory body approval of Engineering Design and Ground Investigation.
Attend site visits and meetings in order to solve issues that arise during the constructions process.
Attend design meetings with the highways and planners to ascertain requirements from a council perspective for new developments.
Ensure that new regulation requirements are anticipated and incorporated as required.

Land Appraisal
Procure Site Investigation Information.
Provide provisional assessment of abnormal design requirements.

Adoption Management
Monitor progress of the adoption of roads, sewers and public open space areas.
Pursue the reduction and release of outstanding Bonds at the earliest opportunity.

Technical Design
Assist the Engineering Manager to obtain fee quotations from specialist consultants for all engineering design and technical report requirements.
Provide technical and administrative support to the site teams.
Obtain all required technical approvals in line with programmed site start dates.

Product Development
Work with the Central Design Team to develop products and research build systems to ensure we are ready for legislation and market change.
Be aware of the need for innovation in all aspects of our business.
Expect and encourage continued change and improvement within the Company.
Create a team spirit with our Partner consultants to ensure the Company receives total commitment.
Develop a close working relationship with the Central Technical team and the Regional team, ensuring all information is communicated effectively and efficiently.

The Company: :
Part of a larger construction group they are leading provider of regeneration services in the UK. They design, build, refurbish and regenerate communities completing refurbishment, repairs and maintenance and housing development.

The Person:
You will worked as an Engineer or similar role in a house building environment.
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience within a similar role in the industry with a proven track record in delivering to an agreed programme.

The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience of building relationships with clients/customers
IT skills including Microsoft packages (advanced knowledge)
Computer literate in MS Office
