An exhilarating opportunity has arisen for an experienced Calibration & Maintenance Engineer to join a market leading company based in Bolton on an initial 6 month basis. The engineer will be responsible for calibrating and maintaining special to type test equipment to agreed time, cost and quality.

The successful candidate will be required to:

*Calibrate test equipment to instructions, handbooks, drawings and specifications, while providing technical guidance on C&M measurement matters.
*Maintain and repair test equipment to component level and ensure calibration records are updated for traceability purposes.
*Highlight when spares are required and arrange for orders to be made, as well as assessing related equipment issues so support services can look to resolve failures.
*Test facility commissioning to correct standard making sure configuration control of equipment and facilitates is in place before use, and that all relevant documentation is available.
*Be diligent when working to provide a safe environment for themselves and others in the workplace. They will be responsible for their own timekeeping, quality of work and to make sure that the figures are correct.

The engineer will be experienced in calibrating test equipment and maintaining test systems to component level, while also having sound knowledge of calibration principles and processes. They will need to be able to handle multiple issues and tasks at the same time and possess the skills to solve problems prioritise their work. The Calibration & Maintenance Engineer should have good communication skills across all levels of audience, along with being able to provide technical support to the calibration engineering unit to assist in the proficient servicing of STTE to enable production testing of hardware and repair phases of the contract.
