Repairs Officer £14.34 PAYE per hour - Temporary on-going

Our Local Authority client in East London is currently looking for Housing Repairs Officers to support their very busy teams.

Ideal Candidates MUST have experience working within a Housing Repairs setting.

Working in a Local Authority, Housing Trust and Charity dealing with complaints and enquires from Service Users IS NOT ESSENTIAL but the ability to stay calm under pressure is a MUST!

£14.34 PAYE per Hour!

Duties:

-To answer the phones, log calls and action, in conjunction with Call Centre management team guidelines
-To diagnose and assess eligibility for repair with reference to the Hackney repairing obligations
-Assess the requirement of a pre-inspection or surveyors visit and raise appropriately on IT systems
-To liaise with internal and external agencies, e.g. social services, police, partners
-To be responsible for dealing with tenants, Operative and staff queries to the Contact Centre, and act as the first point of contact in line with the Reception and telephone guidelines for Hackney Council.
-To plan and co-ordinate the operation of a reception area ensuring it is kept tidy and welcoming to visitors and to deal with them in a polite and courteous manner.
-To pursue and resolve, in conjunction with the Team Leader, all complaints received at the Contact Centre within the, Hackney Council and Property Services Directorate, deadlines.
-To contribute to the planning and co-ordination of a range of administrative duties linked with the efficient running of the Contact Centre. These will include mail distribution, maintaining filing systems (electronic and manual), maintaining ordering, systems, report writing etc.
-To undertake data input at the Repair Contact Centre. Also includes job ticket progression, appointments, telephone survey, rents audit and the preparation of information using data bases, application software, spread sheets and word processing software.
-To undertake the notification and rearrangement of appointments for tenants. Also, to assist in ensuring that the appointment system is maintained in such a way as to be monitored for effectiveness by management.
