Due to a maternity leave absence, this oversubscribed Manchester school is recruiting a Music Teacher for a one year contract starting in February 2016.
This role involves teaching KS3 and KS4 Music including coaching the vocal club/choir.
School and Department
The Head of Department is experienced so the school are able to support an experienced or newly qualified teacher.
The school has a stable and committed leadership team and staff turnover is low. The school Deputy Headteacher names the school staff as one of the main reasons to teach at the school, describing them as "a fantastic team". This is a school where good staff are valued, as demonstrated by the low turnover levels.
The school is based in a fairly deprived area and some pupils come from difficult backgrounds so behaviour can be challenging. There is a good process in place to manage behaviour and the leadership team are proactive in supporting where needed.
