Catch 22 are seeking an Approved Electrician & Fixed Wire Test Engineer to carry out Fixed Wire Testing and remedial work at a prestigious site in Glasgow. They will be working for one of the UK's leading FM Service Providers and M&E Contractors as part of a significant expansion of the company's Electrical Testing Division.
This is a NIGHT SHIFT position (at least 90% of the testing works is carried out during the night) and as such has excellent earning potential at £45,000 per annum (in accordance with SJIB rates). The role also comes with a company vehicle as the site is spread across Glasgow.

The Role We are seeking an Approved Testing and Installation Electrician with a positive working attitude and a passion for excellent customer service.
Main duties and experience required:
  • Fixed wire testing and inspections across a wide portfolio of properties under the banner of one of Glasgow;s largest educational establishments.
  • Carry out various types of remedial works including board changes, partial rewires, fault finding, installing containment and changing accessories as and when required.
  • Experience of testing, inspecting and the completion of Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) within commercial buildings.
  • City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 Testing and Inspection certification is a requirement for the role.
  • JIB Approved Electrician (Approved status is essential)
  • ECS/CSCS card
  • Full clean driving licence
This is primarily a night shift role. We envisage 90% of the inspection work to be undertaken outside of core business hours. Some flexibility is available in terms of working hours / shifts but candidates MUST be comfortable working unconventional hours.
The rates are in keeping with the SJIB Standards and there is ample opportunity for overtime/ The OTE will exceed £45,000 per annum and a vehicle is also provided.
